Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Data Engineer with 10+ years of hands-on expertise in designing, building, and optimizing large-scale data pipelines and platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong proficiency in Python, Spark, SQL, and extensive experience working with Databricks in enterprise data environments. This is an onsite role based in Cincinnati, OH.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines using Python, Apache Spark, and SQL
• Build and optimize data solutions on Databricks for batch and real-time data processing
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements
• Ensure data quality, integrity, performance, and security across data platforms
• Optimize Spark jobs and SQL queries for performance and scalability
• Implement best practices for data engineering, including version control, CI/CD, and monitoring
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex data issues in production environments
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical best practices and architecture decisions

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Python, Apache Spark, and SQL
• Proven experience working with Databricks (development, optimization, and deployment)
• Experience building large-scale ETL/ELT pipelines
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and distributed systems
• Experience working in complex, enterprise-level data environments
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of Delta Lake, data governance, and data security best practices
• Exposure to streaming technologies (Kafka, Structured Streaming)
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
