Landscape Operations Manager - Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky
Creative ImageReflex is acting on behalf of Creative Image. Currently we have an Immediate need for experienced Landscaping Operations manager for a full-time position in Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky. Opportunity for growth and an outstanding compensation package.
Desired experience: 8+ years grounds maintenance operations management.
Minimum experience: 4+ years landscaping operations management. Must have valid driver's license and be insurable. Drug test required.
Responsibilities:
Client service:
Ensuring job site quality and appearance meet client and company standards
Understanding client needs; inspecting property prior to scheduled service to properly prepare specific action plan for service
Managing and delivering work that is of consistently high quality
Managing all activities involved in delivering that work, including coordination of all materials, people, equipment and subcontractors
Perform hands on work with crews as needed to meet work and scheduling demands.
Employee and safety management:
Communicate with, counsel, train, discipline, develop, and review employees
Provide hands on training and support of crew
Ensure crews are appropriately attired and groomed
Administrative and financial
Manage and maintain all administrative and record keeping systems required including timesheets, gantt charts, and weekly schedules
Order materials needed for job and monitor costs and deliveries
Responsible for proper upkeep and maintenance, storage, use and training required for company equipment
Implement and enforce policies and procedures
Other
Ensure vehicle cleanliness
Snow removal; must be available nights, weekends and holidays
Physical demands
Drive company trucks/trailers from site to site
Pass DOT physical and requirements
Perform heaving lifting/push of various landscaping equipment and materials; must be able to carry up to 50 lbs
Work environment
Work hours vary depending on season and time of year - average work week is 50 hours
Work takes place in extreme weather conditions: heat, cold, and precipitation
Use of PPE may be required while running machines and equipment
Requirements
Solid knowledge of plant and turf identification and care
Experienced at landscaping, pruning, and mowing
Strong work ethic
Strong communication skills - oral and written
Ability to work independently, prioritize, and multi-task
Company-centered team player
Ability to operate various lawn and landscape equipment
Ability to use standard units of measure
Basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, area, and square feet
Problem-solving skills including reasoning and judgement
Supervisory skills
Valid and current US Driver's License
Pass drug test
Pass background check
Minimum of 4 years landscaping operations management experience and/or
2 or 4 year degree in landscape related field, or general degree with coursework in the landscape field or certification by a landscape association and 2 years landscaping operations management.
