Job Summary

Solicit and sign profitable new business. Build and maintain business relationships with existing customers and solicit new ones. Develop business relationships, close prospects and build a pipeline reflecting Good Oil's goals to grow motor fuel sales in branded and unbranded channels. Use CRM and other sales management tools to measure progress and KPI's.

Basic Responsibilities

  • Perform in-depth analyses of new business deals and acquisitions, create and deliver presentation of said new business proposals to Senior Leadership
  • Increase the sale of wholesale fuels via new business through the following:
  • Bringing new wholesale dealer customers on board
  • Maintaining and keeping existing wholesale customers on board
  • Identifying potential wholesale marketer acquisitions
  • Completing required analyses and other documentation for new business acquisition
  • Maintaining communications between customers and Good Oil
  • Maintaining Good Oil standards and ensuring both brand and company visual and process standards are met
  • Analyze Profit and Loss Reports as well as fuel financial and sales reports
  • Act as a liaison between Good Oil and new customers as it relates to fuel sales and branding
  • Work with new customers to ensure the completion of new and renewal contract through a working knowledge of the PMPA and dealer fuel agreements
  • Maintain knowledge of brand requirements as related to brand / site image and procedures
  • Coordinates and monitors brand imaging work for new accounts
  • Counsels’ customers on maintaining profitability and growing their business
  • Demonstrates leadership with customers by directing sales calls, managing sales contracts, and closing sales
  • Advises customers on equipment upgrades: assist customers through the purchase or upgrade process by ensuring adherence to all regulations
  • Partners with customers to develop long-term relationships, generate additional sales, and guide problem resolution discussions
  • Attends various industry conventions and other marketing-based activities and develops professional relationships within these organizations

Supervision, Knowledge, and Ability Requirements

  • Must be dependable, well organized, self-motivated and an effective time manager.
  • Must demonstrate the ability to provide effective direct feedback to your supervisor as well as other Good Oil employees.
  • Must have the ability to clearly, concisely and professionally communicate information through good verbal and written skills.
  • Must be a "team player,” that is, one who enjoys working closely with other staff members and has the ability to be flexible, adaptive, and positive in his/her interactions with others including peers, and others with whom Good Oil interacts with.
  • Must maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft WORD, EXCEL and Outlook.
  • Must be able to multi-task and problem solve.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • 5+years of sales management with a focus on new business development, preferable in a closely related business service industry

Physical Demands of Position

  • Must be able to drive for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to do extensive walking and do physical labor (the involved lifting and bending).
  • Must be able to meet regular, and sometimes short, deadlines on documentation, correspondence, and other assignments.
