JOB DESCRIPTION

Group Function: The Mastered Data Product team drives data excellence by aggregating and normalizing foundational financial product domain data to ensure completeness, accuracy, and trust for the Bank's most critical use cases.

Job Profile Summary: The Mastered Data Assurance Analyst plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of mastered foundational data related to loans and leases. This role supports data governance, completeness controls, and process modernization efforts by conducting assessments, resolving anomalies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The analyst contributes to the development of decision rules, metadata repositories, and control frameworks that ensure data completeness and alignment with business objectives.

General Function: Responsible for executing data quality and governance activities across assigned financial domains. Supports the implementation of data logic, completeness controls, and metadata enhancements. Acts as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure data meets regulatory, reporting, and operational standards. Leverages technology to automate assessments and improve workflows.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine data quality assessments and identify anomalies across mastered financial domains.
  • Define and implement data logic and decision rules to support business and reporting needs.
  • Maintain data dictionaries, glossaries, and lineage documentation to ensure clarity and consistency.
  • Lead completeness control efforts for specific financial domains, ensuring alignment with source systems and reporting outputs.
  • Design and implement control points and quality checks to monitor data integrity.
  • Write SQL queries to validate data and support reporting needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support issue resolution and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to translate requirements and ensure alignment.
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor issue resolution progress.
  • Lead Agile stories, contribute to backlog grooming, and support sprint planning activities.
  • Leverage technology to streamline assessments and automate routine data quality processes.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required

  • 3+ years of experience in data quality, governance, banking or data management.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases; Snowflake and DBT preferred.
  • Experience with SQL, Snowflake, Power BI, Excel.
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma methodologies; certification is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex issues.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to consult and influence.
  • Experience working in Agile or SAFe environments or the ability to learn.
  • Ability to bridge business and technical domains, translating needs into actionable data solutions.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and intellectually curious with a passion for data excellence
