COMPANY SUMMARY
The Vertiflo Pump Company is celebrating our 47th year of manufacturing pumps for industrial and commercial end users. Our manufacturing plant and offices are located in the northeast Cincinnati area. We are a small, family-owned company, with approximately 25 employees. Our reach to End Users, OEMS and Distributors is global.
We pride ourselves for being efficient, hard-working and responding immediately to our distributors and end users. We manufacture and deliver American-Made pumps in about half the delivery time of our competition.
POSITION SUMMARY
The successful Inside Sales Manager will have knowledge of pumps, motors, fluid systems, and experience with sales to end users, OEMs and distributors.
The Inside Sales Manager’s primary responsibility is to ensure productive day-to-day operations of inside sales. This includes, but is not limited to, prompt and accurate responses to quotations for pumps and parts and the installation of purchase orders into our sales system.
Secondary duties will be ensuring communications from Vertiflo including information, technical issues, warranty issues, etc., are conducted in a timely and accurate manner. Communications will be to and from distributors, OEM’s, End Users, Suppliers and others.
Other, important responsibilities will be the continual training of our Distributors, OEM’s, End Users and our Vertiflo associates on our products, and their placement in industry. Additionally, the Inside Sales Manager will be responsible to ensure the sales associates are given all opportunities and are held responsible to become a well-rounded salespeople.
The position requires regular attendance in our offices located in northeast Cincinnati. Hours are typically 8 am to 5 pm.
COMPETENCIES
- Knowledge of the Pump Industry, Manufacturing and Placement of Pumps and Systems in Industrial, Commercial and OEM situations.
- Ability to manage inside sales and sales people.
- Ability to sell Vertiflo product and ancillary equipment we utilize.
- Proficient in Microsoft based programs including, but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel. Proficiency in Adobe and internet search engines such as Chrome are also required.
- Ability to work with our INFOR MRP and CRM software.
- Ability to work with our pump sizing software.
- Comfortable with consistent follow-up and ability to get creative when reaching out to distributors, OEMs and end users
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelors degree in sciences or engineering is a minimum requirement.
- At least 5 years of work experience in the pump industry, specifically in a sales-specific role with a track record of good customer relationships and development.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
